According to this website, business cards for screenwriters or any kind of writers don't have to show off our creative talent. According to this site, if people want your business cards, they want your contact information in a simple and quick format so they can contact you in the most efficient way possible. This site suggests that a business card for any writer should just be pure and simple and contain the following information: - Your name. - Your phone number. - Your email address. Also, the following things are optional but are still a good idea to include on your card: - Your website. - Your Facebook page. - Your twitter handle. Also, according to this site, you should not include the following information: - A quote from your favourite film. - A picture of a film reel or typewriter. - Using the courier font. - A list of your achievements. This information is all well and good. However, I agree with this personally as using the above information makes it look like you're trying to stand out and be quirky. Personally, I think that a business acrd would look more professional if it was just nice and simple. Below, I have put an example of a business card that I will be taking inspiration from in terms of the simplicity. As you can see from the above, this business card is very simple. It simply has this guy's name, website, email, phone number, Facebook page and twitter handle. Personally, I will also possibly include my job title "Screenwriter" as I think this gives people an idea of what kind of work I am best at. Despite the fact I have only researched in one place for my business card, I will begin creating my first draft now as I think this will give me the chance to set out my ideas. My first draft of my business card is below: I created the first draft of my business card rather quickly. However, the first draft is most defiantly not the final draft and therefore, my ideas will develop I'm sure. However, I don't think I will be steering away from this design too much as this design is nice and simple, which is what I need.
